The prosecutor's office of the Kentron and Nork-Marash administrative districts of Yerevan, within the framework of the authority to protect state (community) interests, had filed a lawsuit with the Anti-Corruption Court of Armenia on September 3, 2025, against former Yerevan mayor Gagik Beglaryan, demanding compensation for 76,822,000 drams (approx. $210,700) of damage caused to the community, informs the Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia.
And by the decision of the Anti-Corruption Court of September 9, 2025, this lawsuit was accepted for proceedings. At the same time, the court had granted the prosecution's motion and imposed a seizure of Beglaryan's property in the amount of 76,822,000 drams.
The lawsuit was based on the facts established in one of the criminal proceedings.
And by the decision of the Anti-Corruption Court on July 7, 2026, the motion of the prosecutor's office of the Kentron and Nork-Marash administrative districts was granted in full.
Once the decision enters into legal force, 76,822,000 drams will be seized from Gagik Beglaryan in favor of Yerevan as compensation for the damage caused to the community.
