The Zhoghovurd newspaper of the Republic of Armenia (RA) writes as follows, in particular: The Zhoghovurd daily learned that on July 21, the RA Central Electoral Commission [(CEC)] will solemnly distribute the parliamentary mandates of the 9th convocation of the National Assembly. Active preparatory work is already underway at the CEC to organize the official ceremony of assigning mandates.

Of course, [opposition Prosperous Armenia Party leader] Gagik Tsarukyan is under arrest, and about 60 thousand votes given to his Prosperous Armenia Party, according to the submitted claims, were stolen, but, well, the important [thing] is that the CC [i.e. the ruling Civil Contract Party] is satisfied.

However, what is noteworthy is that although the RA Central Electoral Commission is preparing for the solemn event, there is still no clarity among the political forces as to who will finally receive the parliamentary mandates and fill the new parliament.

According to the Zhoghovurd daily, each of the three political forces that have passed into the National Assembly is currently experiencing varying degrees of uncertainty.

Thus, while the Central Electoral Commission is seriously preparing for the solemn ceremony on July 21 to officially hand over parliamentary mandates, internal discussions, calculations, and last-minute decisions, which could significantly affect the final composition of the new National Assembly, are still ongoing within the three political forces that entered parliament.
