Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia, Armen Grigoryan, on Tuesday received the delegation of the European Union’s (EU) new partnership mission in Armenia, led by Managing Director Stefano Tomat, the European External Action Service Civilian Operations’ Commander for EU civilian missions.
The secretary of the Security Council of Armenia welcomed the establishment and deployment of the aforesaid mission in Armenia, and highlighted the multilateral support provided to the country by the EU in recent years, as well as the measures being taken to develop capacities aimed at strengthening resilience, the Office of the Security Council of Armenia reports.
During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed as well matters related to further cooperation. In this context, the secretary of the Security Council of Armenia expressed confidence that close cooperation between this EU mission and the state agencies of Armenia will contribute to the full and effective implementation of the tasks set out in the mission's mandate.
