As a result of large-scale reforms carried out under the skillful leadership of Sheikh Hamad Al Thani, Qatar underwent a rapid rise. This was stated by Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan during a separate conversation with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, in Doha on July 14, while expressing condolences over the death of the Father Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, and wishing him resilience and strength at this difficult moment of loss.

As reported to NEWS.am by the press service of the President of the Republic, during the meeting Khachaturyan highly appreciated the contribution of Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani to strengthening and deepening Armenian-Qatari relations.

The interlocutors also touched upon issues on the agenda of bilateral cooperation and regional development.
