The Armenian daily newspaper Hraparak writes:

Yesterday, the US State Department confirmed a report published by The Guardian stating that Konstantin Sokolov will head the foundation established to implement the TRIPP project. Sokolov is one of the new owners of the MTS Armenia telecommunications company, alongside Chinese businessman Zhe Zhang. Both specialize in purchasing, selling, and finalizing corporate acquisitions, and they are highly skilled managers of major corporations. Notably, Sokolov is a long-time donor to Donald Trump, having contributed 12 million dollars to his presidential campaign.

He is the founder of several investment funds and has held executive positions in various companies.

However, the most absurd aspect of this is that he was born in 1975 in Saint Petersburg, is of Jewish descent, and previously met with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in 2024.
