Nearly 50 people were injured on Thursday in an accident involving a double-decker bus in Turkey’s Amasya province; there were no Russians among them, local authorities said.

"At around 04:20 on Thursday night, a double-decker bus carrying five crew members and 75 passengers was involved in an accident after veering off the road near the village of Karamagara... as a result of the crash, 46 people were injured, two of them seriously," the authorities said.

"All those injured are Turkish citizens; there were no foreigners among them, including Russians," the agency’s source said.

The injured were hospitalized in nearby hospitals. An investigation into the incident has been launched.
