Armenian Ambassador to France and Carrefour Director Discuss Opportunities to Sell Armenian Products in French Market

On July 16, the Ambassador of Armenia to France, Arman Khachatryan, hosted Régis Fraudin, Category Manager for World Products at the retail giant Carrefour, at the Armenian Embassy.

The meeting focused on the opportunities for importing and distributing Armenian goods, particularly food products, into the French market through the extensive Carrefour retail network. The two sides exchanged views on the competitiveness of Armenian food and other goods, the consumer preferences of the French public, and the specific standards and procedures required to successfully enter the French market.

Fraudin outlined Carrefour’s business operations, the criteria used for selecting suppliers, the import logistics process, and the strict quality and commercial standards applied by the retail chain. Ambassador Khachatryan emphasized that developing robust partnerships with major French retail networks is a vital step toward expanding Armenia’s overall export potential and raising international recognition for Armenian brands.

Both parties expressed their readiness to maintain an active dialogue and explore practical avenues of cooperation to expand the presence of Armenian products in France.
