On July 14, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Armen Ghazaryan received the leadership delegation of the Estonian Centre for International Development.

The discussion centered on the current progress and development prospects of cooperation between Armenia and Estonia within the framework of the Ministry of Internal Affairs' mandate. The Estonian side reaffirmed that Armenia remains one of Estonia's priority partner countries, emphasizing their readiness to further deepen bilateral cooperation through long-term and practical programs.

Touching upon the work being carried out in the fields of border management and migration, Armen Ghazaryan presented the ongoing institutional reforms within the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Speaking about the educational component, the Deputy Minister noted that alongside specialized training programs for police officers and rescuers, the Ministry plans to introduce specialized educational programs for border guards at the MIA Educational Complex, based on international best practices and modern educational methodologies.

The two sides discussed opportunities to expand cooperation in border management, capacity building for border guard officers, the improvement of document verification systems, the fight against human trafficking, as well as the organization of professional training. Opportunities for expanding cooperation in the field of digitalization were also addressed.

In conclusion, both parties reaffirmed their commitment to the further expansion of cooperation, highlighting the importance of developing and effectively implementing joint projects.
