US President Donald Trump agrees with assessments that several countries, including Israel, are attempting to influence public opinion in the United States. White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said this at a regular press briefing for journalists.

“I think the president would certainly agree that foreign states are definitely trying to influence public opinion in the United States. There is absolutely no doubt about that; it is a basic fact,” Leavitt said in response to a request to comment on remarks by US Vice President J.D. Vance.

Earlier, Vance said on the podcast of American comedian and TV host Joe Rogan that there are people in the Israeli government who “manipulate public opinion in the United States and try to change it in such a way that the war continues indefinitely.” According to him, these representatives of the Israeli leadership do not like the possibility of a US deal with Iran.
