The United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has identified about 278,000 non-U.S. citizens registered to vote in federal elections in the country. This was stated by U.S. President Donald Trump.

“According to an analysis by DHS, state voter rolls, and publicly available information, approximately 278,000 non-citizens [of the United States] registered to vote in federal elections were identified. Since Democratic states refuse to provide their voter data, the real number is much higher,” he said while speaking at the White House in a televised address to fellow citizens.
