U.S. President Donald Trump spoke in favor of revoking the broadcasting licenses of those American television networks that refused on the evening of July 16 to air his address to the nation, devoted mainly to alleged foreign interference in the national electoral process.

The American president lashed out at the TV channels that decided not to carry his speech live. “They knew what it was going to be about. Because they do not like the topic [of the address], because they know how corrupt our system is but do not want to make it public, they and others in the mass media are part of the collusion,” the U.S. leader said. “Such fraud should mean the revocation of their [broadcasting] licenses,” Trump stated.

“There is no country [not even] in the third world that has elections like ours,” the head of the White House believes.

He accused China above all of trying to exert large-scale influence on the course of elections in the United States.
