China's Foreign Ministry called Trump's claims about Chinese interference in the U.S. election slander

U.S. President Donald Trump's claim that China interfered in the American election is pure fabrication and slander. This was stated by Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian.

"Such statements by the American side are pure fabrication and malicious slander," he said at a briefing, commenting on the corresponding claim by the U.S. leader. "The Chinese side has always adhered to the principle of non-interference in the internal affairs of [other states], has shown no interest in this, and has never interfered in elections in the United States."
