Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov are discussing economic and cultural-humanitarian cooperation, the situation in the South Caucasus, and the “3+3” platform during talks in Moscow, the Russian minister said.

“Of course, we will talk about the situation in the South Caucasus. We have noted the return and growing interest in the ‘three plus three’ regional cooperation platform (a consultative regional format involving Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Iran, Turkey, and Georgia),” he said.

Lavrov clarified that the sides plan to review the current state of economic cooperation, taking into account the 24th meeting of the intergovernmental commission held in April, as well as the prospects for cultural and humanitarian projects. In addition, the ministers will touch upon cooperation within the OSCE, the UN, and the CIS.
