Honda Motor has updated the compact Fit minivan in the specification for the Japanese market.

The manufacturer has revised the model’s trim lineup. The former Basic has been replaced by X, and Home by Z.

There are exterior changes in the sporty RS trim: the radiator grille and decorative insert in the rear bumper are now gloss black instead of matte, Drom.ru reports. The signature wheels of the RS trim are now finished in black as well, whereas they previously had a machined surface. Decorative interior inserts have also become black. The door trim and steering wheel upholstery feature contrasting red stitching. The glass now has protection against infrared and ultraviolet radiation.

A surround-view camera system is now offered as an option. The Z version uses the same sporty-style bumpers as the RS. The steering wheel is also borrowed from the RS — it is three-spoke rather than two-spoke.

The Crosstar crossover version has been supplemented with a heated steering wheel and glass protected against IR and UV rays.

In Japan, the Honda Fit is still offered in versions with a 1.5-liter gasoline engine producing 118 hp and a parallel hybrid system built around a 1.5-liter engine producing 122 hp. Front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive is available.
