Today, Jordan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the chargé d’affaires of the Iranian Embassy in Amman and “expressed its strong protest over Iran’s continued attacks on the territory of the Kingdom, as well as the provocative and inflammatory statements made by official Iranian bodies regarding the Kingdom.”

“The Ministry asked the chargé d’affaires to immediately stop the attacks on the Kingdom, stating that Jordan’s security and the security of its citizens are a ‘red line’ that must not be crossed, and also stressed the need to cease the unacceptable inflammatory statements.

Jordan also reaffirmed its condemnation of the attacks on the brotherly states of the Gulf Cooperation Council, as well as its solidarity with and support for them. Jordan will continue to take all available and necessary steps to protect the security of its citizens, its own security, and its sovereignty,” Jordan’s Foreign Ministry noted.
