Oil is rising in price, with Brent quotations exceeding $90 per barrel for the first time in more than a month.
September Brent futures rose by $2.09 (2.37%) to $90.19 per barrel on the London-based ICE Futures exchange. Last Friday, they gained $3.87 (4.59%) to $88.1 per barrel.
August WTI futures rose by $1.76 (2.13%) to $84.25 per barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX). In the previous session, the contract gained $3.54 (4.48%) to $82.49 per barrel.
Over the past week, Brent jumped 15.9% in price, the fastest pace since April. WTI rose 15.5%, marking the biggest gain since March.
