Iran has received proposals through its mediators for settling the escalation with the United States. This was reported on July 20 by Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei.

“We have received proposals from mediators,” the Mehr news agency quoted him as saying at a briefing on its Telegram channel.

Baghaei emphasized that he would not go into the details of the initiatives received by Tehran, but added that all the mediators’ ideas are being supported.

A day earlier, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates called on the parties to end the conflict and, above all, to exercise maximum restraint. Abu Dhabi sent the corresponding message out of concern over the events in the Middle East.

At the same time, on July 16, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said that Tehran had informed Washington of its desire to strike a deal. At that time, negotiations were still ongoing. Meanwhile, the U.S. military continued carrying out strikes on Iran. As of July 20, nine waves of attacks had already been launched.
