The average cost of a gallon (3.79 liters) of gasoline in the United States has risen again to $4. This was reported by the American Automobile Association (AAA).

According to its data, as of July 20, the price of a gallon of regular gasoline stands at $4 per gallon. The cost of a gallon of diesel fuel exceeded the $5 mark and reached $5.1. For comparison, at the beginning of July, a gallon of gasoline cost $3.84, while diesel fuel cost $4.81.

The most expensive gasoline is in the state of California, where the price per gallon reached $5.49. Gasoline prices significantly above the national average are recorded across the entire west coast of the United States, as well as in the states of Alaska, Illinois, New York, and Pennsylvania.
