UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham held his first international phone call after taking office with U.S. President Donald Trump, Sky News reported.
The contents of the conversation have not yet been disclosed. The British prime minister’s office has not published any official comments on the outcome of the call.
Burnham took office as prime minister on July 20, succeeding Keir Starmer, who resigned after pressure from lawmakers in the ruling Labour Party following defeat in the May local elections.
