The Munich Public Prosecutor General’s Office has charged a 15-year-old teenager from Augsburg who, according to investigators, was planning an attack on a synagogue, Bild reports. According to the case materials, the teenager sympathized with the terrorist group “Islamic State” and kept a large amount of pyrotechnics at his home.
At the end of October 2025, he allegedly detonated a homemade bomb the size of a tennis ball, the prosecutor’s office says. As a result, the teenager lost two fingers, and his friend sustained minor injuries.
The case will be heard by the juvenile court in Augsburg. The defense rejects the allegations of preparing a terrorist attack.
