Iran's Permanent Representative to the UN, Amir Saeid Iravani, appealed to the organization's Secretary-General and the President of the Security Council to condemn the US attack on the nuclear facility in Darkhovin, IRNA reports.

"The international community consistently emphasizes that armed attacks on peaceful nuclear facilities or threats of such attacks are unacceptable under any circumstances," the letter states.

Iravani called on the UN Secretary-General and the Security Council to fulfill their obligations under the UN Charter without delay, bias, or double standards, and to strongly condemn the US armed attack on the Darkhovin nuclear power plant, which is under IAEA safeguards.
