The number of people killed as a result of a series of earthquakes in Venezuela has risen to 5,346. This was reported by National Assembly Speaker Jorge Rodríguez.
According to official data, 16,740 people were injured, and 6,462 were rescued. The authorities provided assistance to 128,324 families, while 17,265 citizens were left homeless. A total of 23,122 people are being housed in 107 temporary camps.
According to a government report, 856 buildings were damaged, and 190 completely collapsed.
