Oil prices are rising on Wednesday morning and are at five-week highs amid concerns over new disruptions to fuel supplies from the Middle East.
September Brent crude futures on the London-based ICE Futures exchange are trading at $92.36 per barrel, which is $1.35 (1.48%) higher than the previous close. On Tuesday, they gained $1.79 (2%), to $91.01 per barrel.
September WTI crude futures in electronic trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) rose by $1.14 (1.35%) to $85.48 per barrel. At the end of the previous session, their price increased by $1.68 (2%) to $84.91 per barrel.
