In Germany’s capital, Berlin, during a meeting between Chancellor Friedrich Merz and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, a group of Azerbaijani emigrants held a protest.

According to Azerbaijani opposition media reports, the protesters greeted Aliyev with chants of “Dictator!”

Earlier, journalist Afgan Mukhtarli reported that German police did not allow Azerbaijani political emigrants to hold a protest against the president of Azerbaijan.

According to him, in the morning, police officers guarding the German Foreign Ministry building demanded that photographs of Azerbaijani political prisoners placed nearby be removed. In addition, a construction crew was sent to the building, creating the appearance of repair work being carried out. After that, the participants in the protest were pushed away from the German Foreign Ministry building.
