The United States and Russia, as the world’s largest nuclear powers, must maintain dialogue despite their differences; the absence of contact would be reckless. This was stated by U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
“We are the largest nuclear powers on the planet. For us not to communicate would be reckless and irresponsible. We must maintain relations with the Russian government, even if there are areas where we disagree,” he told reporters on the sidelines of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations summit in Manila.
