According to a new study, the recorded slowdown in the decline of sea ice area between 2005 and 2024 was temporary. This was reported by The Guardian.
The largest annual decline in ice area during the winter period is now being observed.
Researchers said that the melting will accelerate by about two times over the next 5–10 years.
