Israel is considering the purchase of Boeing P-8 Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft to strengthen its anti-submarine capabilities “amid growing concern” over the expansion of Turkey’s navy. This was reported by The Jerusalem Post.

Israeli officials view the modernization of Turkey’s submarine fleet as a “potential long-term security threat.” The move is still under discussion because of its high cost, although it could become part of a future U.S.-Israel defense agreement.
