Athletes Putrus Vasiliev (futsal player), Aram Khamoyan (futsal player), Ara Aganyan (weightlifter), Rafik Harutyunyan (weightlifter), and Artur Davtyan (holds the title of international chess grandmaster) received a deferment from mandatory military service. The corresponding decision was adopted on July 23 at a meeting of the Armenian Government.
They are members of the national teams in their respective sports.
