According to its information, the pilot was able to eject, and the aircraft fell into a field. It is claimed that this was a training flight. As the Odintsovo Information Center reports, citing the Defense Ministry, no one was injured as a result of the incident. The causes of the crash are being established. According to emergency services, there is no threat to local residents.

The Su-57 is Russia’s newest multirole fighter jet, which entered service with the Aerospace Forces at the end of 2020. By the end of 2023, 22 such aircraft had been produced. Vadim Badekha, CEO of the United Aircraft Corporation (part of Rostec), had stated that “the Su-57 is the only fifth-generation aircraft taking part in real combat operations,” referring to the war in Ukraine.
