Chinese President Xi Jinping's visit to the United States will begin on September 24. This was stated by U.S. President Donald Trump.

“President Xi (Chinese President Xi Jinping) is coming on September 24,” he said at an event in Washington.

Washington is counting on a return visit by the Chinese leader in the fall of 2026. Trump visited Beijing on May 14-15. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio effectively confirmed in early June that the American president's visit to China yielded few tangible results. According to the secretary of state, the goal of the May visit was “direct engagement” between the leaders of “the world's two most powerful countries.”
