The number of dead and wounded in Iran after the resumption of U.S. strikes has reached 55. This was reported on the social network X by Iranian Health Ministry spokesman Hossein Kermanpour.

"Since the start of the U.S. airstrikes, 629 people have been injured and 55 people have been killed," he said.

According to Kermanpour, the dead include six women and three minors.

"The treatment of 36 people is still ongoing in hospitals," the Health Ministry representative concluded.

Recall that the United States and Israel began a war with Iran on February 28. In June, Washington and Tehran signed a memorandum of understanding providing for an immediate cessation of hostilities on all fronts, including in Lebanon. However, on the night of July 8, the United States resumed large-scale strikes on Iran, accusing Tehran of violating the terms of the agreements reached regarding the Strait of Hormuz.
