Rosselkhoznadzor announced the introduction of a limit starting July 27 on supplies of dairy products from Armenia to Russia.

According to the agency, inspections conducted from July 14 to 21 found that milk from infected livestock had been used in the production of goods supplied to Russia from Armenia. Cases were also identified of the use of raw materials from third countries in the production of high-fat dairy products, despite earlier guarantees provided by the Armenian side about the use of local raw materials or products from EAEU enterprises.

Rosselkhoznadzor said it had taken measures to prevent especially dangerous infections from entering Russia and to stop unsafe dairy products from being sold on the Russian market.

Earlier, the Russian agency also expanded restrictions on imports of Armenian fish products.
