An Air Force F-16 fighter jet shot down a drone that violated Romania’s airspace on Friday, July 24. Romanian President Nicușor Dan announced this on his X page.

According to him, the incident occurred at around 11:00 in an uninhabited area, which allowed the pilot to open fire without posing a threat to civilians.

Specialists from the relevant agencies are now examining the area where the drone crashed and establishing all the circumstances of the incident.
