Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi criticized U.S. President Donald Trump's statement about the possible use of frozen Iranian funds to compensate for damage caused to ships and cargo in the Middle East. Sky News reported this, citing Araghchi's remarks.

According to Iran's foreign minister, confiscating another country's assets to cover future claims not directly related to those assets creates a "dangerous precedent."

"Those who welcome such actions or benefit from them should remember: once governments legalize confiscation, no one's assets will be safe. The resulting chaos will be neither pleasant nor peaceful," Araghchi said.

Earlier, Trump said he was considering the possibility of resuming large-scale military operations against Iran, including strikes that could exceed Operation "Epic Fury" in scale.

Meanwhile, the U.S. House of Representatives for the second time called on the president to stop military actions against Iran. Several Republican representatives supported the resolution despite the position of the party leadership.
