U.S. President Donald Trump will meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Tuesday, July 28, in Washington.
This was reported by RFE/RL correspondent Raufoğlu, citing diplomatic sources.
According to him, the meeting will be an important event within the framework of diplomatic contacts between the two countries. The journalist noted that the leaders of the United States and Ukraine had previously met in France and Turkey.
Earlier, Raufoğlu asked U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio about the possibility of a new meeting between Trump and Zelensky. Rubio said that the American side had already held talks with Ukrainian representatives on multiple occasions and was ready to meet again when such an opportunity arises.
Earlier, the Ukrainian outlet Suspilne reported that Zelensky was considering the possibility of a visit to the United States in July, which could include attending Senator Lindsey Graham’s funeral and a bilateral meeting with Trump as part of continued negotiations on ending the war between Ukraine and Russia.
