From January to June 2026, 433 tons of peaches and nectarines worth $582,000 were exported from Georgia to Russia. This was reported by local media.

The second-largest export destination was Armenia, where 367 tons of produce worth $390,000 were shipped.

Vakhtang Bezhitashvili, chairman of the Association of Fruit and Vegetable Exporters, noted that dependence on the Russian market remains a serious risk for Georgian producers.

In his view, the only long-term solution is the diversification of export destinations and entry into European markets.
