In Germany, around 450 people are classified as Islamist “dangerous individuals,” whom the security services believe could commit serious politically motivated crimes, including terrorist attacks. These figures, as of September 2025, are contained in Bundestag materials, Bild reports.
In total, the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution estimates that there are about 9,100 violence-linked Islamists in the country: they have either already used violence, are prepared to use it, or openly support it. The total number of people whom the intelligence service classifies as belonging to the Islamist milieu stood at 28,645 last year.
Particularly many such individuals live in Berlin. About 2,600 Islamists are counted there, more than 900 of whom are considered violence-oriented.
