Over the past night, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) launched more than 390 drones toward Moscow, 81 of which were intercepted by air defense forces on their approach to the city, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said. According to him, the attack lasted ten hours — from 8:30 p.m. the previous day until 6:30 a.m. “Emergency service specialists are working at the sites where debris fell,” Sobyanin noted, without specifying information about the consequences of the raid.

Moscow Region Governor Andrei Vorobyov said that one of the drones hit a multi-story residential building on Zemskaya Street in Chekhov. Information about casualties is being clarified. There was also a “tire fire in an open area.” According to an analysis of eyewitness footage conducted by Astra, the fire broke out on the grounds of the Chekhov Regeneration Plant, which specializes in processing worn-out car tires, rubber crumb, and various rubber engineering products. According to the company itself, it is one of Russia’s largest manufacturers in this field. In addition, according to Vorobyov, “several dozen drones” were shot down over Domodedovo, Podolsk, Ramenskoye, and Kolomna. In Koledino, as Astra established, a warehouse belonging to the independent logistics company 3PL caught fire; nearby is a Wildberries distribution center. The latter is operating normally, the marketplace’s press service said.

Against the backdrop of the massive drone attack, a drone danger alert was in effect in the Moscow Region. The Emergency Situations Ministry urged residents of the region to stay home and avoid windows or move to shelter. “If you are outside or in a vehicle, take shelter in a building, underground passage, or parking garage,” the regional branch of the ministry said in a statement. In addition, residents were warned about possible mobile internet disruptions. Three Moscow airports — Vnukovo, Zhukovsky, and Domodedovo — imposed flight restrictions.
