Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu arrived at the White House for a meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump, The Times of Israel reports.

This is their eighth face-to-face meeting since Trump returned to the presidency, but the first since the United States and Israel began a war against Iran in February.

Netanyahu entered the White House through a side entrance that was only partially visible to journalists.

During their previous meeting, which took place less than three weeks before the start of the military operation against Iran, the Israeli prime minister urged Trump to join Israel in striking Iranian targets.

However, after the conflict began, relations between the two leaders became more strained. According to sources, senior U.S. administration officials expressed dissatisfaction that many of Netanyahu’s forecasts regarding the course and outcome of the war did not come true.

According to a White House official, during the talks the leaders plan to discuss the ongoing conflict surrounding Iran, Israel’s presence in southern Lebanon, as well as efforts to expand the Abraham Accords — agreements on normalizing Israel’s relations with Arab countries.
