Amid the protracted conflict with Iran, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's influence in his meeting in Washington was noticeably weaker than during his previous talks with US President Donald Trump, The Wall Street Journal reported Tuesday.

Netanyahu arrived in Washington with clearly less influence than during previous visits, and was very aware of what the US president would want to discuss or what might anger him, according to The Wall Street Journal.

Just a few hours before Netanyahu's visit, Trump expressed dissatisfaction with what he believed Israel could publicly pressure the White House to continue military action against Iran.
