The proposals for signing an assistance program for a grant agreement with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) on the construction of customs and logistics centers in Armenia's Syunik Province—7 km from Sisian city—and in the capital city of Yerevan have been approved. The respective decision was made at the Cabinet meeting of the Armenian government on Thursday.

The creation of these customs and logistics centers in Yerevan and Syunik for the needs of the State Revenue Committee of Armenia is an integral part of the current program for the establishment of free economic zone centers in the country.

The agreements signed for the construction of the Syunik customs and logistics center provide Armenia with approximately 12 million euros, of which 10 million euros are loans and 2 million euros are grants.

For the construction of the Yerevan customs and logistics center, Armenia will receive 45 million euros, of which 39 million euros will be a loan—in two tranches—and 6 million euros will be a grant.

As part of the signed documents, Armenia will also be provided with advisory support on green certification matters.
