Armenia is committed to an open and transparent position on the implementation of the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) project, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated at a press briefing after the Cabinet session of the Armenian government on Thursday.

Responding to a question about the TRIPP project and Iran’s respective concerns, he said that Yerevan maintains an open and transparent position in this regard, assuring that Armenia is ready to answer all questions related to possible concerns.

Pashinyan noted that TRIPP is a very large economic and infrastructure project that will benefit Armenia, Iran, and the region as a whole.

According to the Armenian premier, the implementation of this project will enable opening a railway connection from the Persian Gulf to the Black Sea through the territories of Azerbaijan, Iran, Armenia, and Georgia.

"This is one of those projects that refutes the statements that its implementation could leave any country in the region on the sidelines. On the contrary, this is a project that includes everyone," the Armenian prime minister added.

At the same time, he acknowledged that the main obstacle to the implementation of TRIPP could be the destabilization of the situation in the region, but expressed hope that the project would be implemented as soon as possible.

Also, Nikol Pashinyan clarified that the dates of his official visit to Iran are still unknown at this time.

"The relevant agreements have already been reached, but the specific dates have not yet been determined," the Armenian premier said.
