The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran announced the strikes on the Ali Al Salem Air Base of the US in Kuwait as part of the Nasr 2 and the Punishment of the Aggressor operations, Mehr News Agency reports.

According to the IRGC press service, the attack destroyed two drone hangars, as well as fuel tanks for aircraft and military helicopters. The statement notes that the IRGC's aerospace and ground forces continue operations against the "aggressors," declaring their intention to achieve the withdrawal of US forces from the region.

Also, the IRGC appealed to the population of Kuwait, stating that its actions are not directed against the peoples of the region, but against the American military presence and US policy in the Middle East.
