Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan received Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy Hamid Ghanbari, who is in Yerevan on a working visit.

The interlocutors touched upon the strategic nature of relations between Armenia and Iran, especially infrastructure projects, including in the energy and transport sectors. The importance of the opportunities provided by the implementation of new connectivity projects was emphasized.

Regional developments were discussed as well. FM Mirzoyan said that Armenia was closely following the situation, and attaching importance to the establishment of peace and efforts aimed at resolving existing issues.
