The Palestinian Hamas movement has agreed on the disarmament plan to maintain a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, the Board of Peace has confirmed. According to the respective statement, all attention is now focused on implementing this plan. At the same time, Ghazi Hamad, a member of the Hamas delegation at the negotiations, told Al Jazeera that the movement will not implement the agreement reached if Israel delays the process. According to him, the disarmament process will be led by the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza.

In turn, a senior American official stated during a press briefing that US President Donald Trump would be extremely disappointed if Israel did not allow his 20-point plan for the rehabilitation of Gaza to be implemented. He added that Washington believes that Israel will fulfill the terms of the deal. Separately, Axios, citing two American officials, reports that after months of negotiations with mediators—namely, Qatar, Turkey, and Egypt—Hamas has agreed to the terms of this deal.

Moreover, according to the portal's sources, Iran was pushing Hamas in the opposite direction. A senior US representative told Axios that Iran tried to convince Hamas to abandon the agreement, but the group did not follow its advice. The implementation of the disarmament program is expected to begin in the coming weeks, the senior American official noted.
