Recently, an open-air exhibition organized by Azerbaijani circles in the central square of Prague exhibited a series of historical photos from Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) and Armenia, presenting them as documents of the cultural presence of Azerbaijanis in their so-called “historical homeland,” Armenian opposition MP Lilit Galstyan noted on Facebook.

She wrote as follows:

"ON TRACES OF DEFEATIST-CAPITULATION DIPLOMACY

While the issue of the return of Armenian prisoners of war and other detainees who are being forcibly tried and tortured in [the Azerbaijani capital] Baku and other people is simply not on the political agenda of official Armenia, while the issue of protecting the [Armenian] cultural heritage of Artsakh has no place on the political agenda of official Armenia, while official Armenia is silent on various international platforms or, moreover, hinders and refuses to raise the issue of the genocide of the Armenian cultural and spiritual heritage taking place in Artsakh, while official Armenia does not speak about the Right of Return of the Artsakh Armenians, while the [Armenian ruling] regime officially declares and leads a hostile campaign against the Armenian Apostolic Church, the pillar of our identity, the artificial and genocidal state Azerbaijan continues to appropriate our millennial heritage, strengthening the discourse and ideology of the so-called Western Azerbaijan in international territories.

As they say, ‘a holy place does not remain empty.’ Against the backdrop of defeatist-capitulation diplomacy and the total absence of protection of our identity and rights on its agendas, the aggressor Azerbaijan has switched to an offensive and expansionist policy, appropriating our, the Armenian, from territories to civilizational heritage.

The erasure of the Armenian trace, Armenianness is an official policy in Azerbaijan, being directed and managed by the president himself.

Azerbaijan is working, their diplomacy is aggressive and proactive. Intensively in international areas, with the green light of Armenia’s authorities, Azerbaijan is legitimizing the Artsakh genocide, including the spiritual and cultural one.

During this time, a prison state is hardening in Armenia, where opposition politicians and dissident thought are persecuted.

Official Armenia is thus, on the one hand, silencing the real Azerbaijani-Turkish threat, and on the other hand, the will of the [Armenian] public is being crushed in an atmosphere of fear and legal bacchanalia.

All this has a price, we will all pay. The concept of ‘Western Azerbaijan’ has also entered our territories... one would have to be blind not to see this.
