Swiss foreign minister Ignazio Cassis will visit Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan on August 4 and 5 in his capacity as the OSCE Chairman-in-Office, the Swiss foreign ministry announced on X.

Discussions will focus on bilateral relations, peace efforts in the South Caucasus and the role of the 26th OSCE session in Central Asia.

“This visit marks the first leg of a regional tour, which will continue in Armenia and Georgia this autumn,” the Swiss foreign ministry added.
