Truth Social, the social network owned by Trump Media & Technology Group, is launching a paid service that will allow market participants to access posts by U.S. President Donald Trump for analysis even before they are widely disseminated, the Associated Press reports.

The new Truth API service is aimed primarily at financial firms and high-frequency traders willing to pay about $100,000 per month for timely data. Critics argue that such a model creates a risk of unequal market conditions, since Trump’s posts often trigger sharp swings in stocks, currencies, and commodity markets.

In recent months, statements by the U.S. president on Truth Social have already affected the prices of companies, currencies, and stock indexes. Trump has used the platform to announce tariffs, comment on international policy, energy, and possible changes in the economy.

Financial ethics experts warn that the chosen model could create a conflict of interest: the president gains the ability to influence markets with his own statements, while certain participants receive faster access to that information.

The company rejects the accusations, saying the service does not provide exclusive data and that posts will be available to traders and ordinary users at the same time. However, critics note that the advantage may lie in the speed of information processing: algorithms used by large funds are capable of reacting to messages in fractions of a second.

The service is being launched amid serious financial troubles at Trump Media. The company’s shares have fallen significantly since Trump returned to power, and the company itself continues to post heavy losses.
