Iran’s Acting Defense Minister, Brigadier General Seyed Majid Ebn-e-Reza, said that Tehran views any statements by its adversaries as real threats and uses them to raise the readiness level of its armed forces, Mehr reports.
According to him, Iran cannot be caught off guard and does not take a passive stance in the face of possible threats.
“We are not caught off guard, and we are not inactive. We regard a threat as a basis for increasing readiness, strengthening deterrence, and enhancing our power,” Ebn-e-Reza said.
The head of the defense ministry noted that recent statements by Iran’s adversaries, even if they are part of psychological operations and a “war of calculations,” are perceived by Tehran as real challenges requiring an appropriate response.
The statement came amid ongoing tensions in the region and mutual threats between Iran and its adversaries. Iranian authorities have repeatedly stated their readiness to respond to any military action against the country, emphasizing the need to strengthen defense capabilities and the deterrence system.
