US President Donald Trump, while talking to reporters on board the presidential plane bound for Washington on Sunday, did not specify the timeframe for concluding a peace agreement with Iran.

“We’re ready to go any time we want,” Trump said about the potential for the US striking back at Iran. “Would I rather make a deal? I’m not looking to kill people. People die. A lot of people die and we don’t want that.”

Earlier, Trump announced that the US and Iran on Monday would begin negotiations on a peace agreement.
